超電導電力機器のクエンチ環境下における
極低温液体中絶縁性能の体系化に関する研究

[研究背景]

 極低温液体の絶縁破壊特性および絶縁破壊メカニズムの解明に重要な部分放電特性に関する研究は非常に少ない.さらに,今後超電導電力機器の実現のためには,超電導電力機器の実運用状況を想定した極低温液体の絶縁特性に関する研究が必要不可欠となる.特に,超電導電力機器にとってクエンチ現象は不可避であり,超電導限流器においては積極的にクエンチ現象を利用することで機能するため,クエンチ環境下における極低温液体の絶縁破壊特性の把握・解明が重要となる.

 そこで本研究では,超電導電力機器の絶縁冷媒である液体ヘリウムおよび液体窒素を対象として,実際の超電導体を用いたクエンチ環境下での絶縁破壊特性(動的絶縁破壊特性)および部分放電特性の検討を行った.特に,部分放電特性を詳細に検討し,クエンチ環境下における極低温液体の放電メカニズムを解明するとともに,超電導電力機器の実用絶縁設計に資する絶縁データの取得・体系化を行うことが本研究の目的である.
